History

The Grange Photographic society can trace its origins back to 1922, then called the Magnet Photographic society it later became the GEC Photographic society in association with GEC Telecommunications, GPT and Marconi.

In recent years it has been part of the Copsewood social club.

The society is affiliated to the Midland Counties Photographic Federation and was a founding member of the Mercia Group of Photographic Societies before its disbanding in 2021.

Our Weekly programme runs throughout the year and includes lectures, practical evenings, outings and a variety of competitions and challenges. We also have a number of friendly competitions with other Clubs in the area.

The current programme can be seen on the web site as well as a gallery of members work.

We have Quarterly competitions which are open subjects for prints and digital images as well as themed competitions.
